Queensland Representative School Sport (QRSS) works actively to support students' health and wellbeing in sport and aligns to the department’s broader supporting student health and wellbeing policy statement.

Athlete development

Sport is an important part of a student’s physical health and delivers many additional benefits such as leadership and communication skills, resilience and a sense of belonging.

Our vision of inspiring world-class opportunities for sporting success, engagement and wellbeing, combined with the additional benefits and capabilities that physical activity provides, contributes to our students developing a lifelong love of sport.

Competition can also mean nervousness, anxiety, injury setbacks or the disappointment of defeat. We work with our partners to provide information and strategies on how to help alleviate pressures and obstacles young athletes face in representative level competition.

Bookmark this page and check back in regularly to see if there is information and strategies to help your development as an athlete.
