Queensland Representative School Sport (QRSS) leads the delivery of competitive sporting pathways for affiliated state and non-state schools across Queensland. The program offers representative pathways in 21 sports with over 150,000 students participating each year, across district, regional, state and national levels.

Requirements
All Queensland team officials must have (or be prepared to have prior to your event/s):

Queensland College of Teachers (QCOT) registration or valid blue card
- Current first aid/CPR certification (valid for 2025)

Principal/line manager approval (obtained in the year of competition).
Queensland coaches:
- Applicants considering the role of Queensland team coach must have a minimum coaching qualification as required by CARA, or equivalent.

Conditions of appointment
- Applications must address all requirements and be submitted by the due date
- Applicants must meet the position requirements as outlined on the QRSS state team officials matrix
- All Queensland team officials must possess current First Aid and CPR qualifications for the dates of the championship, training and travel days
- All Queensland team officials must agree to abide by DoE and QRSS policy requirements specific to the role to which they are appointed
- The Queensland coach must have a minimum coaching qualification as required by CARA, or equivalent. Please note some sports may require a higher level of accreditation. Please refer to each sport specific CARA and each sport specific competition procedures
- Sports trainers must possess at least current level 1 sports trainer qualification
- All Queensland team officials must also meet any additional sport specific criteria as listed in section 6.4 of the relevant sports competition procedures (found via the alphabetical list of sports in sports information).
